The 2009 racing season promises to be even more exciting. We have 9 to 10 races planned for 2009, 5 to 6 of which will be major events at Maple Grove, Cecil, MIR, Virginia Motorsports Park, and Atco. We will also race at Capitol and Numidia. This will drive even more spectator and racing enthusiast participation. We are looking for additional sponsors and promoters to help us drive more business, increased prize money, and garner more event and sponsor publicity. Among the over 50 racers in our association, here are some of the big names in Pro-Mod. Mike Ashley, Vincent Budano, Mike Castellana, Mark Dantoni, Tim O’Hare, Jim Halsey, Tommy Gray, Pat Musi, John Nobile, John and Chris Russo just to name a few. Hope House Ministries
We have also partnered with Hope House Ministries, which provides hope, care and compassion to nearly 2,000 individuals in need each month.
The Community House
This 30-bed home provides a compassionate approach to crisis intervention and a residential community for homeless young people in need. Since 1980, the Community House has been a home for over 2,700 young people, primarily between the age of 16 and 23 years and now a few hundred pass through each year. It provides a positive community living experience where a young person can grow and develop. The program assists in the development of a life plan with short and long term goals and promotes the development of interpersonal skills. The length of stay varies based on need, averaging 12 to 18 months. Each person is treated individually with professionalism and the sensitivity necessary to effectively deal with youth in crisis. The young people who live in the Community House work full-time or attend school. Our primary objective, where possible, is to support family reconciliation to help the young people develop the skills for independent living. Our secondary objectives include : on-going education (higher education), recreation, spiritual guidance, wholesome entertainment, coordinated physical activities and more than all, to foster and encourage holistic growth and the development of one's full potential. a program of support designed to help the young people develop the skills for productive independent living.
